Entertainment Desk: BTV Chittagong started its journey with only one and a half-hour programs as a full-fledged channel with the aim of ensuring education, entertainment, and the free flow of information, besides highlighting the people of the Chittagong region. The official operation of the channel started on December 19, 1996, with the inauguration of the current Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina. Later, the broadcast range gradually increased. The channel started its 6-hour satellite broadcasting program on December 31, 2016.
BTV Chittagong Center started broadcasting the program for 18 hours on January 10, 2021, and for 24 hours on December 19, 2021. Today, December 19, is the 27th anniversary of this state media.
Current General Manager of BTV Chittagong, Noor Anwar Hossain Ranju, said in a press release that BTV Chittagong family members will celebrate the day with colorful ceremonies.
