Banskhali Correspondent: A woman named Shelly Biswas (53) was killed after being hit by a motorcycle in Banskhali. The accident happened in front of the main gate of the Upazila Parishad on Saturday (December 16) at noon. Deceased Shelli Biswas is the wife of Sameer Biswas of Kebal Mahajan Para of Ward No. 6 of the Municipality.
Deceased Shelli Biswas is said to be the mother of two sons and one daughter.
According to local and eyewitness sources, Shelli Biswas was working as a sweeper in the upazila education office. He collided with a motorcycle while crossing the road with tea and breakfast for the office staff from the restaurant at the Upazila gate on Saturday afternoon.
At that time, the locals rescued him and took him to the Upazila Health Complex Hospital, as his condition was critical, and the doctor on duty sent him to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
According to family sources, he died while undergoing treatment at Chamek Hospital.
In this regard, Banskhali police station SI Mong Thowai told the media that the family of the deceased said that they will not file any case in this regard; they have been given police clearance after their request to bury the body without a post-mortem.
