Dhaka Bureau: If there is no’seat agreement’ with the Awami League, Japa candidates may withdraw their nomination papers today. For that, the necessary documents have been prepared. The latest reports are that if seats are not given in respectable seats, as per the list sent by their party, JAPA will ultimately decide to abstain from the elections.

Although Zapa had several meetings with the Awami League, the agreement was not finalized until late on Saturday night. If there is no agreement in the end, JAPA can announce a new decision on the last day of withdrawal of nomination papers (today, Sunday).

The Japa leaders say that the Awami League has made a list of their own choice. Where the nomination papers of boat candidates have been cancelled, they are shown as concessions. However, the Awami League has excluded most of the seats that Japa has asked for. The list of 26 people proposed by the Awami League includes the names of candidates whose names have not been given by Japa.

In a meeting with Awami League leaders last Friday, JAPA agreed to give 26 seats to JAPA. However, the names of many important leaders, including Japa co-chairman Kazi Feroz Rashid, ABM Ruhul Amin Howladar, Syed Abu Hossain Babla, Salma Islam, and Presidium member Liaqat Hossain Khoka, are not included in the list of 26 people. Due to this, JPA rejected the list of 26 people.

In this situation, the responsible leaders of Japa and the Awami League were supposed to have a meeting on Saturday afternoon. However, on behalf of the Awami League, Zapa was informed by telephone that it is not possible to change or increase seats. After that, at 2:00 p.m., JPA Chairman GM Quader and General Secretary Mujibul Haque Chunnu, along with almost all the central leaders and current MPs of the party, sat in a meeting at the residence of senior co-chairman of the party Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud in Gulshan. The meeting lasted until late at night. Japa General Secretary Chunnu called Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader from this meeting and said that he could not accept it as the names of the important leaders of the party were not included in the list of 26 people. Later, the list of 42 people was sent to Awami League leader Mirza Azam through Sostafa Al Mahmud, Japa’s presidium member. After getting the list, Obaidul Quader told them that he would talk to his party chief. He didn’t say anything to Japa until last night. Even then, the Japa leaders were all eagerly waiting for Barrister Anis.
