Today is December 16. Great Victory Day! The nation has completed 52 years of victory. Victory in the war of liberation is the most glorious and proud day in the thousand-year history of Bengalis. It is the day of the end of the long nine months of horror. This great victory was achieved at the end of a nine-month war in return for the bloodshed of millions of brave freedom fighters, the tears of women who lost their husbands and children, the killing of the best intellectuals in the country, and the endless sacrifices of the heroes. 52 years ago on this day, the emergence of independent sovereign Bangladesh on the world map gave the Bengali nation the address of self-identification. Under the leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the language movement of 52 from 1948, the six points of 66, the mass uprising of 69, the historic speech of March 7, 1971, when the genocide began on March 25, Bangabandhu’s declaration of independence in the early hours of March 26, April 17 Independence was achieved in return for the sacrifice of 3 million martyrs and 2 million mothers and sisters through the formation of the Mujibnagar government and the bloody liberation war.
