The Crime Desk: 11 small ethnic groups are victims of extreme discrimination in Chittagong Hill tracts. They have been deprived of a five percent quota in economic, social, job, and education for a long time. Everything is controlled by one community. There are 13 communities, including Bengalis, in the hilly areas. Among them, 12 small ethnic groups are living with the message of peace and harmony. They are Tripura, Chakma, Lusai, Marma, Pankhowa, Tanchanga, Murong, Khumi, Khiang, Kuki, Hajong, and Bom.

Among them, the Chakma quota has been fulfilled in all fields, including education and employment, as per the Hill Peace Agreement. But as the remaining 11 minority groups are deprived of everything, including jobs and education quotas, extreme anger and frustration have arisen among them. They demanded to give equal opportunity to everyone and said, We are getting the benefits of the peace treaty. Moving forward on the path of smart Bangladesh But I am deprived in terms of quota. We want justice. In terms of quota, equal opportunities should be ensured for all. Why only get a community? A true peace treaty is equal rights for all. This representative of Ittefaq went to the ground in the mountainous area and spoke to 12 small ethnic groups and Bengali communities.

Discrimination starts in primary school in three hill districts. Of the 10 teachers in the schools, 9 teachers, including the head teacher, belong to the Chakma community. Other communities are deprived. All the quotas in higher education and jobs are over for the Chakma community. They also dominate agriculture. The Chakma community also decides who will cultivate which land. These are possible thanks to JSS. JSS is at the root of all the terrorist killing, murder, rape, extortion, and kidnapping incidents in the hills. And those who organized a UPDF group without surrendering after the peace agreement are also committing acts of terrorism, murder, rape, extortion, and kidnapping. Again, JSS reform and UPDF reform also happened later. All four organizations are committing all kinds of criminal activities, including terrorism, extortion, and murder. 11 minor ethnic groups and Bengalis have been living safely only with the full cooperation of the army and other law enforcement agencies. This is why they survive in the mountains. But JSS also has to pay the subscription properly. The subscription rate is also determined. The collection of subscriptions is carried out in the neighborhood. Headman and Carbari are in the neighborhood. They are the ones who collect JSS subscriptions. These headmen and carbaris are people of the Chakma community. Chakmaras are also doing the work of giving one person’s land to another person. The headmen and carbaris are employed by JSS chief Santu Larma. They have been torturing them coldly. There will be a community in the hills; the Chakma community is moving forward with such a conspiracy.

Bengalis and 11 minority ethnic groups said that 11 minority ethnic groups and Bengalis have been living safely in three hill districts under the overall supervision of the 24 infantry division of the army and the Chittagong Area Command. The administration ensured justice. Communication has improved greatly. Electricity is getting from house to house. But a community has been doing mental torture in various ways, including extortion and women’s torture, to keep us behind. Their quota has been filled. Locals said that apart from the JSS chief, several highly educated people from the controversial family are always trying to unilaterally protect the interests of a community. They are spreading false propaganda against the government by giving false information about the peace agreement abroad. He has huge wealth, including houses and cars abroad. The people of a community are enjoying most of the facilities in the institutions like regional councils, zilla councils, etc. that were established after the peace accord. The Bangladeshi government allotted a five percent tribal quota, but almost all of it is enjoyed by one community. At the same time, the people of that community are responsible for the top positions of foreign organizations. Local residents fear that the once-accumulated anger and frustration among the deprived community will turn against the JSS at any time.
