Satkania Representative: In the upcoming 12th National Parliament election, two separate candidates for the Parliamentary Constituency No-292, Chittagong-15 (Satkania-Lohagara) Constituency, Satkania Upazila Awami League President MA Motaleb and South District Awami League Executive Council Member Dr. The nomination paper for AMM Minhazur Rahman has been cancelled.
After verifying the nomination papers at the office of Chittagong Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman, their nomination papers were canceled due to the complaint of falsification in the list of one percent supporting voters.
Assistant Returning Officer and Lohagara Upazila Executive Officer Muhammad Inamun Hashan confirmed this to the media.
He said that their nominations were declared invalid due to the average of 1 percent of supporting voters on the list. However, there is an opportunity to appeal to the Election Commission.
