Cox’s Bazar Correspondent: A DGFI (Air Force Officer) officer was killed in a clash with Yaba traders during a joint operation between RAB and DGFI at Tumbru border in Bandarban. A RAB member was injured in the incident.
This information was given in a press release sent by the Directorate of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) at 1 pm on Monday (14 November).
According to ISPR, during the joint anti-narcotics operation of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and the Directorate General of Defense Intelligence (DGFI), there was a clash with drug smuggling terrorists in the Tambru border area of Ghumdhum, Bandarban, inside Bangladesh on Monday (November 14). Meanwhile, a DGFI officer (Bangladesh Air Force officer) has sacrificed himself for the country while on duty in shooting drug smugglers. A RAB member was injured.
Meanwhile, a Rohingya woman was also killed in the same incident, according to local sources. Ghumdhum Union Parishad Chairman AKM Jahangir Alam said that since this incident, the situation has been calm in the area.
