Dhaka Bureau: His son, Sajib Ahmed Wazed, has resigned from the post of information and technology advisor to the Prime Minister. He submitted his resignation on Wednesday (November 29) as the schedule for the 12th Parliament election was announced. His resignation letter has been accepted by the Prime Minister of the Government of Bangladesh.
Since 2014, Sajeeb Wazed Joy has been working as an unpaid information and communication technology advisor to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
On February 25, 2010, he was given the post of primary member of the Rangpur District Awami League.
Earlier on November 19, Science and Technology Minister Yafes Osman, Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar, and State Planning Minister Shamsul Alam submitted their resignations. All three were serving as technocrats. On the same day, Prime Minister’s economic affairs advisor Mosiur Rahman, electricity, energy, and mineral resources affairs advisor Tawfiq-e-Ilahi Chowdhury, and international relations affairs advisor Dr. Gauhar Rizvi
Two notifications were issued today by the Cabinet Department accepting their resignations. Later, the notifications were published in gazette form.
