Feni Correspondent: Two people, including the driver of a CNG-powered autorickshaw, were killed when a pickup van hit them in Fulgazi, Feni. The accident took place on Saturday (November 25) around 9 a.m. on the Fulgazi-Chaglanaya road. The deceased are driver Saiful Islam (22) and Mohammad Anas (01). Besides, three others were injured. They are Ekramul Haque, his wife Sharmin Akhtar, and his son Achim Haque.
It is known that Ekramul Haque, a resident of Vasantpur village in Amjad Hat Union, was going to a relative’s house with his family around 9 a.m. On the way, he met with an accident at a place called Shanirhat on the bypass road of the Chagalnaya-Buxmahmud road.
Fulgazi police station OC Abul Hashim confirmed the matter and told the media that the CNG-driven autorickshaw was overturned by the impact of the pickup van. Locals rescued five injured people and sent them to Feni Sadar Hospital. The doctor on duty there declared baby Anas and driver Saiful dead. The injured have been sent to Dhaka for better treatment, their families said.
