Dhaka Bureau: Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that Sheikh Hasina had invited BNP for dialogue, but BNP did not respond.
He said this in a press conference at the Dhaka District Awami League office in Tejgaon on Thursday (November 16) regarding the dialogue with the opposition party.
Obaidul Quader said, “He talks about dialogue today. Sheikh Hasina sat with all the parties at Ganobhaban for this dialogue. BNP was called there for two consecutive days.
At that time, he said, “Now if any party changes their opinion and comes to the election, then they are also welcome.” If BNPO comes to the polls, then they are also welcome.
Complaining against BNP, the bridge minister said, ‘Awami League does not come to power by conspiracy. BNP is trying to impose responsibility by talking about dialogue.
The Awami League General Secretary said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina personally telephoned Khaleda Zia ahead of the 2014 elections. I was invited to dialogue. But Khaleda Zia’s participation on that day is far from being talked about; the awkward misbehavior she has shown with the Prime Minister is not known to anyone.
Referring to Sheikh Hasina as ‘blue voice’, he said, “Sheikh Hasina has digested.” Khaleda Zia did not come. He has misbehaved.
When Sheikh Hasina was present at the time of Arafat Rahman Koko’s death, referring to Khaleda Zia’s misbehavior, she said, “On that day (Koko’s death), Sheikh Hasina went to console the childless mother.” But he did not allow Sheikh Hasina to enter. He has misbehaved.
Questioning BNP’s movement and struggle, the bridge minister said, ‘BNP has done the movement and struggle. We held a peace rally. What has ever hindered their assembly? Have you ever been interrupted? We had a completely peaceful rally.
