Dhaka Bureau: The application process will start on November 16 in various classes of government and private schools. The application process will continue till December 6. Lottery for admission to government schools will be held on December 10. And private school admission lottery will be on December 13. The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (MAUSI) has sent the draft admission policy to the Ministry of Education for approval, adding such information. The ministry will finalize the matter within two days and issue it in the form of policy.
According to the information given by Maushi, all public and private schools have to apply for admission online in the prescribed form. The admission fee remains the same as before. According to that, the admission fee for MPO schools in the capital is Tk 5,000, for non-MPO schools a maximum of Tk 8,000 and English medium is Tk 10,000. And in other metropolitan cities not more than 3 thousand rupees can be taken. This year also 40 percent students will be admitted as students from catchment area.
Meanwhile, the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education has ordered to update the information of public and private schools on the Teletalk website for the admission of new students in different classes next year. It has been asked to upload the information of Sadar Upazila level schools in the metropolis and district headquarters by entering the website https://gsa.teletalk.com.bd today by November 14.
Mohammad Aziz Uddin, Deputy Director of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (MAUSI), said that for the admission of students in different classes in the academic year of 2023, the information of government secondary schools and private educational institutions (at Sadar Upazila level of metropolitan and district headquarters) across the country must be updated. The private schools which have been recruited after becoming public, these institutions also have to complete the official admission process.
On the other hand, various schools have released the admission notification long before the final policy is issued. They have also started distribution of admission forms. Parents are angry about this.
