Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar said, “I am here today not as a minister, but as a former president of BASIS. In September 1997, just a few of us founded BASIS and formed the first committee of BASIS through spontaneous elections. As such, Basis has already completed 25 years of age. BASIS started its journey with only 18 charter member institutions, but now the number of members is around 2500. The basis was established so that the domestic software gets acceptance by the government and private institutions of the country, so that our software can make its own place in the country and abroad. I think the objective of establishing BASIS has been achieved today.”
