Dhaka Bureau: Miscreants set fire to a passenger bus in front of the National Press Club in the capital. On receiving the information, the fire service personnel went to the spot and extinguished the fire.
This incident happened on Tuesday (October 31) around 3:30 p.m. Fire Service and Civil Defense Duty Officer Ershad Hossain confirmed the matter.
Ershad Hossain said two units of the fire service were sent after receiving information about a fire in a passenger bus in front of the press club. It is not yet confirmed which transport bus was set on fire. The top part of the bus was burned in the fire.
According to fire service sources, a few people boarded the car as passengers. While getting down, they set fire to the bus and escaped.
It is to be noted that today is the first day of the three-day blockade called by the BNP after the Mahasambesh in Dhaka ended on October 28.
